Jenn’s Birthday
Tramway Gap Path, Gap Park

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WOOLLAHRA COUNCIL, 30 APRIL 2022

Jen’s childhood in the then bushy St Ives was the nursery for Jen’s passion. She spent years roaming the bush, picnicking at the nearby Flat Rock Creek, Bungaroo, looking closely at the mossy worlds on the beautiful Sydney sandstone, climbing the twisted Angophoras, finding tadpoles, just playing, being in the bush, imbibing all the colours, smells, textures and forms around her, without even knowing what was happening - the perfect childhood for this future site-specific artist. Creating a planting event to celebrate Jen’s birthday but allowing ongoing growing and visiting was the best fit for Jen and her dedication to all things beautiful, natural and perfect’ - Sally Turpin
Replenishing rainforest species in a sheltered section will keep the visiting fruit bats and the powerful owl happy and planting new habitat will attract the microbats.
