‘The Forest of Dreams grew out of a breakfast at Bill’s in Sydney’s Surry Hills. Mutual friend architect Diana Snape was keen to have me meet with Tree Rites Founder, Barbara Schaffer. Diana had supported my ARROW Collective’s Dance Rites -  a philanthropy project with the Sydney Opera House, and thought the word RITES would have synergy. It did, tangentially, but the key ingredient at this breakfast was serendipity. Instantly I wanted to work with Barbara and asked if she was interested in doing a tree planting project on our cattle property in Dungog, NSW. She said YES! So here we are only a couple of months later doing our Forest of Dreams. Also, we now have leading Australian artist Jennifer Turpin on the team…  and so many people, from all over, to be part of our tree planting community. This is only the beginning. The Forest of Dreams is for everyone curious as to how agriculture is playing a major role in combating climate change.’ - Janne Ryan
